Each Sunday, St. John's celebrates the Eucharist with a contemporary service (9:00 AM) and a traditional service (11:15 AM).
St. John's has been blessed with the ministry of musicians to appropriately guide both the contemporary service and the traditional services. St. John's Praise Teens enjoy singing for services periodically. Any teen is welcome to join in on the fun!
Some of our most special services involve St. John's youth - Youth Sunday, Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday, and high school students sharing their experiences at ELCA Youth Convention in New Orleans.

St. John's Choir - The choir helps to lead the liturgy and music each Sunday at the traditional service and also sings a choral anthem each week. Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in singing and rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM. We also rehearse at 10:45 AM on Sunday mornings.
Praise Team - The Praise Team leads worship each Sunday at the contemporary service and includes vocalists and instrumentalists. Our band currently consists of acoustic/electric guitar, bass and drums but we welcome the addition of other instruments. Rehearsals are held at 7:30 PM on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. We also rehearse every Sunday morning at 8:00 AM.
Praise Teens - The Praise Teens are a choral group for middle school, junior high and high schoolers. We sing a variety of music from traditional to gospel to contemporary. Rehearsals are held weekly, Tuesdays at 7:00 PM and we participate in the music for the contemporary or traditional service on a monthly basis.
Sunday School Music - All Sunday School aged children (K - 5th grade) will have singing time as part of their Sunday morning activities. In addition, each week we will spend some time working on a song to sing at the contemporary or traditional service. We also have singing time each Tuesday night at 6:30 PM.
Music with Hand Chimes is our newest group, for aspiring musicans in Kindergarten and above. Rehearsal time is 5-5:45 PM on Tuesday evenings. |
