Worship is the cornerstone of our faith. It is the center of our life together. Faithful worship can take a variety of expressions and it is our mission to make sure that each of our expressions of worship is as faithful to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit’s activity among us as possible.

Continue to implement weekly services.

Develop blended services on special occasions.

Improve or develop our liturgies.

Encourage youth participation in music programs.

Establish goals for choirs (increase choir membership, etc.).

Increase lay participation in worship services.

Enhance visual liturgy.

Each Sunday, St. John's celebrates the Eucharist with a contemporary service (9:00 AM) and a traditional service (11:15 AM). The summer schedule for 2010 provides contemporary worship at 9:00 AM and traditional worship at 10:30 AM from June 20th through September 5th.
St. John's has been blessed with the ministry of musicians to appropriately guide both the contemporary service and the traditional services. St. John's Praise Teens enjoy singing for services periodically. Any teen is welcome to join in on the fun!
Some of our most special services involve St. John's youth - Youth Sunday, Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday, and high school students sharing their experiences at ELCA Youth Convention in New Orleans.
